Featuring the soothing, sultry vocals of Rebecca Richardson: Rebecca earned her Bachelor's of Vocal Jazz Performance from Cornish College of the Arts (Seattle, WA) and went on to study in New York, with esteemed jazz musicians (David Budway) and masterclasses at the Juilliard School. Her performance career has spanned ten years, beginning in Seattle, where she performed jazz in various venues including: Tula's, The Space Needle, and the Sorrento Hotel; as well as performed for Spirit Cruises, The Seattle Symphony, Civic Light Opera, Dickens Carolers, as well as Disney. She then moved to New York to develop her style futher, and continued performing, working with the Hank Lane Orchestra, and with smaller jazz groups at venues such as Kavehaz, Cleopatra's Needle, The French Consulate, The Waldorf Astoria, The C Note, and Flute. She also served on the CPSM voice faculty at Queens College. Sunny weather lured her to Naples, Florida, where she now resides and performs with her trio at the chic Campiello Ristorante four nights a week, as well as other area venues/organizations such as: The Ritz Carlton, The Hilton, Aldo's, Bellasera, and Opera Naples. Dawn Clement, crazy good pianist: Pianist/composer Dawn Clement is an active performer most often heard in Seattle and New York in various collaborations. Current projects include, performing and touring with Jane Ira Bloom, promoting the release of a new CD entitled "mental weather", in addition to a project with Julian Priester, and a trio recording with Matt Wilson and Dean Johnson ('break' on origin records). She is also a graduate of Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle. Over the last seven years, Dawn has performed in some of the world's most premier venues such as Carnegie Hall, Le Conservatoire Superieur, Paris, and Seattle's Benaroya Hall, as well as numerous clubs (including Sweet Rhythm, Tonic, and Iridium), art museums, and theaters. In addition to her work with Jane Ira Bloom, Dawn has toured the U.S. with a number of projects including the Sabella Consort (2000-2003), and the Rubin/Clement Piano Dialogues (2000-2002), for which she received a King County Arts commission Grant (2002). Dan Heck, killer jazz guitarist: This guitarist/bassist and composer currently lives and works in Naples, Florida. Dan was born in Philadelphia and grew up in eastern Long Island, NY. With two very musical parents he was encouraged to pursue music at an early age, starting on cello at age 4. He was playing in bands by the third grade on bass and was playing jobs around Long Island on guitar in his early teens. Dan is graduate of Berklee College of Music and has been a professional musician for over 20 years in Boston, New York, Paris and Seattle. He has extensive performing experience in the U.S and throughout Europe and has performed at many prestigious venues around the world including the Blue note in New York and the Space Needle in Seattle. He can be heard on dozens of recordings as both a sideman and a leader and is a co-founder of the award winning Seattle jazz ensemble, Bebop and Destruction. Geoff Harper, fabulously insane bassist! (bio info unavailable at time of publishing) Byron Vannoy, drums: Byron has worked steadily as a performer and educator on both the East and West coasts playing, recording and composing a wide variety of music. He has performed and recorded with many internationally known musicians such as Julian Priester, Herbie Hancock, Randy Brecker, Tom Scott, Ray Vega, Greg Adams, Ernestine Anderson, Ishmael Wadada Leo Smith, Vinnie Golia, Jim Knapp, and Hadley Caliman. He is currently an Associate Professor at North Seattle Community College, and faculty instructor at The Seattle Drum School, Byron also conducts workshops in the Seattle and Los Angeles areas. In addition, Byron has recorded for nationally broadcast television programs as well as radio spots for the BBC. He has studied privately with Ian Froman, Mark Ivester, Bob Moses, and Joe LaBarbera. He holds an Associate Certificate in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music, a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Performance from Cornish College of the Arts and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Jazz and African American Music Performance from California Institute of the Arts. Steve Korn, drums: Seattle drummer, Steve Korn, is a musician's drummer. Always making the musical content and quality his first priority, Steve's versatile drumming and overall musicianship has made him an integral part of the Seattle jazz scene. Audiences across the United States, Europe and Russia have heralded his work, hearing him on several tours and recordings. Steve has released three CD's as a leader, Here and Now (1999), Pride and Joy (2000), and most recently, Points In Time (2004). All were released by Origin Records and have received rave reviews. In fact, each was nominated as Northwest Recording of the Year by Earshot Jazz. Steve won the Earshot Golden Ear Award for Northwest Emerging Artist for the year 2000. As one of Seattle's busiest players, Steve is constantly in demand, leading his own group and performing with the areas top players. In addition to appearing in clubs, Steve's quintet has also been featured at the Seattle Art Museum's Art Of Jazz Series, Earshot Jazz Festival, Bumbershoot Arts Festival, KPLU Summer Jazz Cruise and the University of Washington Jazz Artist Series. When not leading his own group, Steve regularly works with many of Seattle's finest including; Mark Taylor, Greta Matassa, Floyd Standifer, Marc Seales, Dave Peterson, and Jeff Johnson among others. Steve has also been fortunate to perform with many jazz greats including; Jon Faddis, John Scofield, Julian Priestser, Larry Coryell, George Cables, Dee Daniels, Mark Murphy, Jessica Williams, Ernestine Anderson, James Williams, Jay Clayton, Pete Christlieb, Hal Galper, and Karrin Allyson.
